Melkweg goes intercontinental

After decades of establishing ourselves as a leader in liquid bulk transport in Europe, we have taken the next step to expanding our network. In the last decade, especially, we have honed our reputation as being the preferred supplier for transport to and from the UK and Ireland, building a broad network of partners and clients. Setting up our own in-house customs department has become a cornerstone of our service - delivering quick, fault-proof customs handling for our clients, relieving a great deal of stress from their in-/export activities. What’s more, we also handle veterinary notification and handling of animal products from England ourselves, which has allowed us to insure minimal delays and guaranteed administration. This year, we’ve had the opportunity to look further - some 3600miles further. 😉

We are proud to say that our Melkweg|Fritom tanks have been chartering new territories, crossing the Atlantic ocean to reach the USA. What began as just a “Test-drive” in Q1 of this year, is already turning into a rather stable flow of assignments, which we are more than happy to execute. With our planning team of experienced, yet flexible planners, we are able to come up with tailored solutions to best fit our clients’ needs. This is a juncture that is opening many new doors for us and we are excited by all the possibilities that lie ahead.

For now, we are transporting a product that falls in the “food” category – and if you know us – you know this is our strong suit. Nevertheless, there’s so much more we can do! With our fleet of more than 600 tank containers (and growing), we execute thousands of transports of bulk edible products, animal feed products (GMP+) and technical products per year. We are glad to be expanding our network, while staying involved, transparent and innovative – just as you know us.
