Melkweg|Fritom Festival 2025

On Saturday, October 4th, Bolsward came alive with connection, fun, and appreciation during the Melkweg|Fritom Festival. Colleagues, families, and international partners from Spain, Portugal, the UK, Ireland, Belgium, and Germany came together to celebrate what truly makes Melkweg|Fritom special: our people and the power of working together.

The day began with a tour of our headquarters, giving guests a chance to experience Melkweg|Fritom up close and see how we bring logistics to life every day. Then the festival kicked off with a relaxed afternoon filled with good food, bouncy castles, food trucks, and plenty of time to connect and catch up.

And the weather? Well… it was as Dutch as it gets. The rain didn’t let up, but that didn’t stop us. Inside the big tent it was warm and cozy, with glowing heaters, tasty snacks, and even warmer conversations. Our international guests got an authentic taste of the Dutch experience - a bit of rain, but lots of "gezelligheid"!

In the evening, our Managing Director opened the celebrations with an inspiring speech, sharing updates on the business, a few personal words, and a toast to everyone’s hard work. What followed was a night of great music from cover band Bamm Bamm, laughter, dancing, and plenty of memories - many of them captured in the Melkweg|Fritom photobooth.

The festival was a perfect reflection of who we are as a company: close-knit, reliable, and committed to quality in everything we do. Not even the rain could dampen our spirits. Together we are the heart of Melkweg|Fritom – connecting people, connecting places, and moving forward as one.
