Melkweg|Fritom chooses elektric with pilot for sustainable milk collection

DAF XD Electric for milk collection

Melkweg|Fritom, an innovative transport company and part of the Fritom Group, is proud to announce the purchase of an electric truck to transform the practice of milk collection. Through an innovative pilot with an electric truck, which will collect milk for Friesland Campina 24/7 and 365 days a year, an impressive saving of approximately 500,000 kg of CO2 will result. The electric truck, a DAF XD Electric, will be supplied by BSF Leeuwarden, supplier of DAF trucks and sustainable transport solutions. BSF Leeuwarden will also provide the support to make this pilot a success.
