Management Team Melkwegfritom 2025

On 1 January 2026, an important and forward-looking change in management will take place at Melkweg|Fritom. After years of growth, professionalisation and further specialisation in our activities, we are confidently handing over the baton to a new management team, which will build on the foundations laid over the past decades.

New management: Willem Doorenbos and Hugo Rozeboom

 

From 1 January 2026, Willem Doorenbos will take up the position of Managing Director of Melkweg|Fritom. Over the past ten years, Willem has held a wide range of operational and commercial positions within the company. His promotion to the management team is a logical next step. Willem: "I consider it a special honour to follow in the footsteps of my father and my grandfather. Both men played a decisive role in the creation and development of Melkweg and the Fritom Group."

 

Hugo Rozeboom will join him as Operations Director. Hugo has also been with Melkweg|Fritom for ten years and has become a familiar face on the work floor. With his strong operational background, he manages the daily activities in the Intermodal and Milk transport departments. His practical experience, combined with a great sense of responsibility, makes him a valuable asset in the new management structure.

The management team

The management team is further strengthened by Fedde Bergsma, who has been active within the Fritom Group for over thirty years. Fedde has been the Financial Manager at Melkweg|Fritom for many years and has been part of the MT for quite some time. Fedde brings a wealth of knowledge, analytical skills and process experience to the table. This makes him an important link in the further development of our organisation.

Role change for Ab Doorenbos

With the appointment of the new management, Ab Doorenbos is stepping down from his role as Managing Director. Ab has more than 40 years of experience in the transport world, all of which he has gained at Doorenbos Transport Bolsward and the Fritom Group. Not only has he shaped Melkweg|Fritom into what it is today, he has also built up a respectable name within our industry at home and abroad. 

Ab will remain closely involved with Melkweg|Fritom as an advisor to the management team. In addition, he will continue to perform various commercial tasks. He will also retain his role as a member of the board of the Fritom Group, ensuring that his knowledge and experience remain within the wider organisation.

With this change in management, we are taking an important next step in the succession and future-proofing of our family business. The renewed MT stands for energy, ambition and a strong connection with our organisation and our customers. With the same passion with which we have worked over the past decades, we will continue to build on quality, innovation and reliable logistics solutions.
