Our customers can rely on a logistics partner that grows alongside them

Melkweg|Fritom has recently commissioned thirty new tank containers. The investment includes twenty containers with a capacity of 33,000 litres and ten containers with a capacity of 35,000 litres.

"This expansion reflects our confidence in the future and our ambition to continue growing in the transportation of liquid bulk products. By investing in modern tank containers, we are not only increasing our capacity but also enhancing our flexibility. This enables us to support our customers even better with efficient, reliable, and sustainable transport solutions. Ultimately, it is about ensuring that our customers can rely on a logistics partner that grows alongside them," says Willem Doorenbos, Managing Director of Melkweg|Fritom.

Operations Director Hugo Rozeboom adds: "The new CIMC tank containers are equipped with baffle systems that help reduce the movement of liquids during transport. This contributes to improved vehicle stability and supports the safety of both our drivers and other road users."

The fleet expansion aligns well with the continued growth of Melkweg|Fritom's activities and further strengthens its capabilities within the European intermodal transport network. By transporting tank containers as much as possible by rail, inland waterways, and ferry, while using road transport primarily for first- and last-mile operations, the number of road kilometres is reduced and CO₂ emissions are further lowered.
